Is It for You?
Preserving and protecting the planet is more important than ever. This program explores how citizens, corporations and governments resist or embrace and enact eco-friendly ideas and approaches. You’ll learn how to research and resolve environmental issues through fieldwork, consulting for external clients, investigating urban sustainability issues, going on an international exchange and pursuing an optional practicum. After graduation, your ability to interpret various environments, analyze people’s behaviour and critique sustainable initiatives will empower you to affect change.
This is one of 10 bachelor of arts programs that share a one-year foundation.
After Graduation
You may make an impact in many fields: policy; sustainability; health and safety; education; and private, government or non-profit sectors. You may work as a sustainability and reporting analyst, environmental health and safety coordinator, field technician, climate change coordinator, or urban agriculture and climate researcher.
You may also choose to pursue professional environmental certifications, teachers’ college, law school, or graduate studies in geography, environmental science and management, urban planning, policy or related fields.
