Toronto Metropolitan University accepts international undergraduate applications for September and January admission. We look forward to receiving your application and supporting you throughout the admission process.

Admission requirements depend on various factors, such as the country where you completed your secondary schooling and the program you wish to enrol in.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition fees for TMU vary by program.

Full-time Undergraduate Program Fees

Fees for full-time undergraduate programs for 2023/2024 for international students range from $33,423 to $38,584 CAD. Fees are due and payable by the start of classes and various payment methods are available.

English Pathway Program Fees

Fees for English pathway programs for 2023/2024 for all students (international and domestic) range from $9,895 (English Boost) to $32,900 CAD (ESL Foundation Program, includes university-level degree-credit courses that can be applied to your undergraduate program).

Scholarships and Bursaries

International students may qualify for entrance scholarships and distinguished awards, such as the President’s Entrance Scholarship (up to $40,000 CAD) or the International Student Merit Scholarship ($5,000 CAD).

International Student Merit Scholarships

The International Student Merit Scholarships are awarded to international students who are entering their first year of full-time, four-year undergraduate degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University in the Fall or Winter term and demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills. A minimum 85%/A or equivalent final admission average is required for consideration.

President’s Entrance Scholarship

The President’s Entrance Scholarship is awarded to secondary school graduates who demonstrate academic accomplishment, leadership qualities, original thought and creative ability.

A minimum 90% final admission average is required for consideration. An applicant’s average is calculated with their best six Grade 12 U/M courses, or their home country’s equivalent.

Toronto Metropolitan University has approximately 1,144 beds in three residence buildings on campus. There are a range of room styles including two- to four-bedroom apartments, single bedrooms with shared hallway washrooms and some individual rooms with private washrooms.
